Sign in to your services

A few minutes per service, done once. Every tile shares the sign-in, and it lasts through restarts.

You need: Your streaming passwords, and a mouse and keyboard on the computer.

Every tile is a real web browser, so you sign in the way you would in any browser: on each service’s own page, with the computer’s mouse and keyboard. The app never sees your passwords.

Open the service in a tile

From Stream Organizer Pro Companion on your phone, put any channel or game from that service on a tile. If the service isn’t signed in, the tile shows its sign-in page.

YouTube TV works differently: it won’t open a channel until you’ve scanned your channels. Skip to Sign in to YouTube TV and scan your channels.

Sign in on the computer

Use the computer’s mouse and keyboard: click into the tile and sign in on the service’s own page. The service remembers you, in this tile and every other one.

Repeat for each service you use

These are the services the app works with. Each one opens straight to the game or its channel:

  • Subscriptions: YouTube TV, ESPN (including ESPN+) and MLB.tv.
  • Free streams: YouTube and Twitch, for example League of Legends esports.

Sign in to each subscription you have. A game that’s only on another service can’t be put on a tile.

Sign in to YouTube TV and scan your channels

The scan reads your YouTube TV guide so the app can open the right channel for each game. It runs in a tile that’s already showing something, and that tile has to be signed in to YouTube TV first.

  1. Put any channel or game on a tile, from any service. (A YouTube TV channel won’t open yet; that’s what the scan is for.)
  2. In Monitors, tap that tile to open its sheet. In the Navigate to URL… box, type https://tv.youtube.com and tap Go.
  3. On the computer, sign in to YouTube TV in that tile with the mouse and keyboard.
  4. Open Settings in Stream Organizer Pro Companion and find Your services › YouTube TV › Channel scan. Choose that TV under Choose a TV to scan on, then tap Scan. When the scan ends, the tile goes back to YouTube TV’s home page.

If the tile wasn’t signed in, the scan stops, says so, and puts the tile back the way it was. Sign in on it and scan again. [TBD: confirm with a signed-out YouTube TV account]

The links depend on where you are, so after you travel, tap Scan again (the button’s name once you’ve scanned).

Optional: let MLB.tv sign itself in

MLB.tv can sign itself in when you put an MLB.tv game on a tile. See Turn on MLB.tv auto sign-in.

If it doesn’t work

A tile is black or asks me to sign in again.
That service signed you out. Click into the tile on the computer and sign in on the service's own page.
YouTube TV casts don't work.
Run the channel scan in Settings, under Your services › YouTube TV › Channel scan. After the first scan the button reads Scan again; use it after you travel, because the links depend on where you are.
The scan says the tile isn't signed in to YouTube TV.
The scan puts the tile back the way it was, so the sign-in page doesn't stay up. Open https://tv.youtube.com on that tile with Navigate to URL, sign in there on the computer, then tap Scan again (it reads Scan again if you've scanned before).
The scan's tile list says No tiles open.
The scan needs a tile that's already showing something. Put any channel or game on a tile first, then come back.
